I just got a used OEM wing. I noticed when I got it that the double sided tape on the bottom (triangular shaped) of each end was kind of moldy so I removed it. I figured when I get the mounting kit, it would contain new double sided adhesive piece. Well, with my luck, it figures that when I picked up my mounting kit today that there is no adhesive piece because they only come with the actual wing (already attached). BUMMER!

Anyways, for any of you guys who installed a used OEM wing and removed the old adhesive, what did you use in its place?

I figured just getting some double sided 3M tape and cutting some pieces to fit would work, but I'm thinking it might be a better seal if I get some think rubber sheet and cut out to shape what would have been the adhesive piece. Anyone do it this way? Better / Worse???

TIA.
