I know this is not the case for all BMW changers, but I know that for some of them you can buy an adapter that allows you to use a stock Alpine changer (this may only be old bimmers) with the factory BMW head unit.

That same adapter should work in reverse, buying an alpine head unit that works with the changer that the cable was originally made for... it just may work.

Never tried it though... I'm just making a guess.
