Wow. It's hard to imagine the Eibachs were that much lower than the stock springs. I always thought the rear looked pretty close to right with stock springs, and even with GC coilovers, I've probably only lowered the rear 1/4" from stock.
But I have 255/40 17s in back, and they fill up the wheel well quite completely.
In my personal search for Euro springs, I kept coming up with the same us / euro part number for the rear springs, so you could have the same as stock.
At one point I did turn up a different part number that you usually see listed for Euro rear springs, (it was not #31 53 9 464 881, but I can't find it now) but all the places I tried to order them from told me I had an invalid number.
H&R and supposedly soon UUC both have mildly lowering yet pretty stock feeling springs out...may want to check them out. I'd also check with Eibach to be sure they recommend stock shocks with their springs.
Anyhow, welcome to suspension option hell -- for E36M3's it's particularly warm. :)
