Paintwork on a stock panel is worse than a DOT-R(m (archive)

As Luxo said, I'd rather have a car with a DOT-R panel that was painted correctly than have an original panel that was bondo'ed up and painted poorly. DOT-R stickers should be a decent flag to have someone take a closer look at a car, but shouldn't be avoided like the plague. If they were installed correctly, and painted right, it can be just as good as a factory panel, and can get you a decent discount when buying the car. Anytime you go looking for a car bring someone who can spot paintwork. That's much more important than just looking for DOT-R stickers. Just my thoughts.
