Well, that's luck for you. "Used Cars" - great movie by the way. Right up there with "Repo Man" which was generally too hip for the audience. I have three red cars, maybe that's my problem? They're balanced out a bit by two that are blue. Five? Yes, for the time being. Very glad to hear you're thinking of dumping the Honda lease. You've definitely got the fever.
Almost the right car but you're dead on re the color :-( Actually, I'm somewhat flexible on color but I can't have a red car. I know this sounds nuts but they're bad luck to me. I had a serious accident in one some years ago that almost killed me. All I can remember is that red hood coming crashing towards me. It was awful because I thought I was finished.
Then, I suppose that was revenge of sorts. The car I was driving was a ‘69 Camaro SS. When I was around 4, a friend of mine and I pondered the beautiful lines of a very similar red ‘69 Camaro minding its own business in his garage. It belonged to his mom. We decided it would look better white, so we painted it....with enamel house paint.
Who in hell knows, it could have been the same damn car. Anyway, I digress. Suffice it to say I've been averse to red cars ever since. I'm like that guy in the 1980 film "Used Cars," who had a similar phobia.
Otherwise, it looks sweet. Miles are a bit high but it looks very well cared for and is priced right. I actually saw it, I think, in the classifieds on this board about a month ago. If it was black or silver (or, I wish, that way cool copperish color with the odd name) I'd almost be willing to say screw my Honda lease (expires, thank god, June 15) and go check it out!
