I have heard of many people that have had cupping problems that can't be fixed. I have a friend who has a 96 m3 and no matter what he does he can't fix the cupping. Every set of tires he buys all 4 tires cup on the inside edge. He has a stock suspension, and has had numerous alignments done.

I am considering buying an m3 and don't want this to happen to mine

We have never had cupping problems at our dealership with any of our vehicles. The only two things that can possibly cause cupping on a tire is either bad shocks, or cheap quality tires.
