I have screwed the stop as far as it goes - although the clutch is definitely disengaged - the feel on the stick shift is slightly hampered - in other words I can pull it into second without some resistance - I am thinking of hacksawing a 1/4 inch off the bolt - anybody else run into this - is the adjustment of my clutch to low to begin with?

I had the same problem. The cut off 1/4 inch
and it work fine now.
