I've considered buying one of these. I'm not looking to race, just have fun driving. My impression was that the car was a blast for pure G-forces, but just didn't have the handling of the M. Sure, the Quattro glues the car to the road, but it didn't feel as good as the M and certainly the steering can't compare. The interior is intensely nice.

Black on black. Very nice car. $41,500 with premium package, xenons and bose stereo. Very cool wood package inside. It's stained kind of grey to match the interior and looks very high tech. Definitely softer suspension than M3 but very nice low end torque. He's still in the break in period so no chance of racing him with my 97 M3/4. I'll give him about a month for break in and getting used to the car then we'll go for it.
