I'm sitting at a light and a Red VW GTI VR6 pulls up next to me with mirror tint. I look over and notice his 17" or 18" rims and dtm exhaust "Nice ride" I thought. I roll down my window and look over, he rolls his down and I say "what's up?".. I notice the huge gauges down the side of his window. "Is that a turbo?" I ask, he replies "yep". I say "let's play a little", and he gives me a little grin. The light turns and we both slolwy take off and then kick it,.. his turbo spools up and his tires start to screetch as they break traction,.. I pulled about half a car length on him in 1st. We get on the hwy with some 16v jetta trying to get in on the fun. I let the Jetta and the GTI get around me and I fall in behind the turbo VR6..the chase was on. The jetta get's over a lane and the road is now open, the GTI kicks it and a puff of rich smoke comes out, he doesn't pull away, 2 seconds later my 3rd gear is all over him and gaining. I throw it into 4th and just start pulling on him, but with a few cars around I never attempted to pass, I had pedal left. We continue this dangerous cat and mouse game for a bit. He drops it into 3rd as I do and I continue to stay on his ass with 4th gear available to abuse him at will. We press onto a long right sweeper (on ramp :) ) the GTI drops it down to 3rd and approaches the the turn,.. I give him a little room, 2 seconds later I'm in 3rd and on his bumper rushing him along. I wondered if that was the limit of his adhesion,.. I wasn't close to mine. We merge into another hwy and I exit in 3rd gear, he tries to pull away but my MPower just wasn't having any of that. I again pull to his bumper, then *click* 4th gear ready to put down the punishment. Finally some breathing room, I get up next to him, drop it into 3rd, and *WHAM* I'm gone, *click* 4th gear and I'm walking away but then I slow when I notice traffic ahead. He pulls up next to me and he rolls his widow down and starts asking me questions. I'm thinking.. "what's this ass doing? asking me questions at 70 mph" it looked like he was asking me what I had done to my M3 :) that surprised look lead me to believe this.
