This was definetly a turbo vr6 denoted from the factory vr6 package and badge. And yes he got pulled on :) The 1.8T's sound a lot different from the Vr6's btw. Not hatin, just pointing this out.

most likely it was a turbo gti, meaning gls, meaning factory turbo 4 cyl. It was probably chipped. unless you have done a LOT to your m, you will not beat a turbo vr6 in a straight line,, adn from the way you told your story, that is what happened today when i raced my friends chipped 1.8t jetta. They are quick chipped, they are quicker with a k04.
Not hatin, just pointing out, it most likely was not a turbo vr6, unless you are heavily modded.
I know, i sold my turbo gti yesterday for my m. the gti is almost as fast, until about 100.
