If at all possible, private seller is the way to go. I'm with Techno...I'd rather meet the owner, work with a fellow enthusiast and save a few k, as opposed to going to a $tealer (some of whom apparently have not picked up on the fact that you can't sell 3-year old car for over new MSRP).
