Thanks, that helps, but i just purchased some rims from HRE, and i ordered 18x9 in the rear. with a 50mm offset, and he tells me that it will not rub. so we will see, i will let you know.
I HAVE 18" RIMS AS WELL AS H&R PERFORMANCE SPRINGS. I HAVE 235-40-18 IN THE FRONT AND 255-35-18 IN THE REAR WRAPPED AROUND HARTGE CLASSICS: 8X18 FRONT, 8.5X18 REAR. NOW, YOU WILL HAVE TO TAKE YOUR CAR TO A EUROPEAN AUTO BODYSHOP TO HAVE THE REAR FENDER ROLLED. JUST MAKE SURE THAT THEY ARE AUTHORIZED TO WORK ON BIMMERS OR AT THE VERY LEAST EUROPEAN AUTOS. YOU SHOULD NOT SEE ANY FORDS OR CHYSLERS IN THE SHOP, JUST EUROPEAN AUTOS. NOT TO WORRY, IT IS NOT A BIG DEAL AND DOES NOT AFFECT THE APPEARANCE OF YOUR VEHICLE AND TAKES APRROX 2 HRS TO COMPLETE. THE COST TO DO THIS RANGES FROM $75-$250. I PRESENTLY RESIDE IN DC-MARYLAND AREA, SO SHOPS ARE AT A PREMIUM. FINALLY, THE OVERALL APPEARANCE OF THE CAR IS AWESOME AND THE CAR HANDLES GREAT. HOPE THIS HELPS.
I was looking to purchase 18 " rims, i currently have H&R racing springs on my car, my question is what is the widest size rim and tire size i can put on my car without rubbing?
225/40/18 on front and 245/35/18 on the rear.
What size rim would that be????
