Coilover Suspension (archive)

In terms of aftermarket suspensions for a '97 E36 M3, what is the difference between a coilover suspension, such as the one sold by Koni for about $1800, and a suspension sold by Dinan (also by Koni), which has strut inserts and springs, and costs about $700 less. It's hard to believe that Dinan products are less expensive than anyone's.

Is coilover the way to go? (do not plan to track my car--just want better handling, less understeer).

What's the difference and which is the best way to go?

Thanks,

Bob
