DIY darkened tail lights (archive)

I remember someone talking about having smoked tail lights and doing it youself w/ tail light paint and clearcoat....I figured I'd give it a whirl on an extra set of rear lenses in my '02 just to be different.....what kind of paint does anyone reccoment, and would it work out nice on red lenses>?
