The difference with coilover and your regular performance shock/spring upgrade is that with coilover you have the height adjustment so that you can set the suspension lower for track days and set it higher for street driving. Also with coilover you have more choices of spring rates (Stiffer or softer)for your springs that will suit your driving style.
