have a Mech Tech turbo system for under $5K? Superchargers just plain suck. No boost before 4K, weak torque, parasitic HP loss, can't control the boost, belt-driven problems, etc. The turbo is obviously superior, but I have yet to see someone post anything about Mech Tech or a system they recently installed from them. I guess people are just stupid and like giving INCOMPETENT shops like RMS business for a product that flat out does not perform. Ever seen a supercharged race car that actually won anything?

That was from BMW Power (which is essentially european car magazine). One thing you must realize is that the RMS car had Osh Minelian himself at the test site, whereas the StageI AA car was just installed by a westcoast shop. The RMS car was able to be worked on with the DME editor and all that right there on the spot, and the AA car had to just do with what it had: a driver. Karl was not there. I've driven Dinan SC'd cars, RMS Vortech SC'd cars and AA turbo cars...Although I like the SC'd cars very much, nothing compares to the power of the turbos, stage I or stage II. Sorry. CYA>PM3
