How do you get glove box out? (archive)

I have a 98 M3. I unscrewed the six screws that secure the glove box vent panel. It seems that you have to take the vent panel off before removing the glove box. I was able to unsnap the lower portion of the vent panel but couldn't get the upper part off. I thought I would ask about any trick before I ended up breaking something. What's the secret and will I need to know about anything else when I remove the glove box compartment?
