Yes, most people hate BMW drivers. But it isn't your issue, it's their own feelings of inferiority. Trust me though, you'll get used to it, just drive waaaaay faster than everyone else and it really isn't a problem anymore!
Just be careful where you park it, I'm way anal about mine.
