Yes the removal water baffle helps alot. However you will not get full potential until you direct all that incoming air into the airbox. If you look at the front half of the intake you notice that there is a gap between the airbox adapter and the front grill. you also notice that there is nothing blocking off engine heat from entering the airbox as well. so if you build a small "heat sheild" this will direct air straight into the airbox and also keep engine heat out, there buy improving the performance of your car expecially at high speeds because this will act as a "ram air" intake. I will post pictures of mine very soon. just my 2 cents
