Door handle removal? (archive)

Need to replace outside door handle assembly. Have removed door stricker locking assembly. Also detached door handle from door. Cant get enough clearance between door glass and door skin to pull out. Do I need to remove door glass. Any help would be appreciated. Callen 95 m3
