Hi, I have a 1992 Bmw 325i, I have a AA chip, I know how to get to the ECU, its just getting it open. Do I need any tools special tools like allen wrench. They have like small metal tabs, look like you can use a allen wrench, how do I open the box and get to the chip. Anyone can give me instructions how to open and put in chip.

thank you

I did mine a couple years ago, but if I remember right you have to pry the box open by lifting the tabs, try a big flat screwdriver, do it slowly so the tabs don't crack and break, once the tabs are are halfway up it should open. The chip inside should be easy to locate there is only one that matches, make sure you line the teeth of the chip up with the plug in module carefully and then press down on the chip evenly until its all the way in. You will like the increase in your 4000 to 7000rpm range more useable power. Remember to always run 92 octane or higher gasoline! Have fun.
