Sway Bar Removal for Intrax Coilover Install (archive)

I recently bought Intrax Coilovers for my 99 M3/2 and they do not have the sway bar link mount on the shock housing. It was recommended to me that the front sway bar be completely removed by Eric at SPP and one of the Intrax techs. However, I decided not to and will return the coilovers.

Here is my question: What do you guys think of the advice I was given? Has anyone removed the front sway bar on a STREET CAR? If yes, were there any negative effects? (ie abnormal tire wear, alignment problems, body flex or roll) The reason I emphasize STREET CAR is because the car will be a daily driver and not a track car. Any input is appreciated. Thank you in advance.
