I just last week took my 97 M3 in at a local tire joint for a quick balance, and they found one of the front wheels was slightly bent. I have the motorsport wheels, but from what I've heard a pothole can easily bend these wheels.

Depending on the severity of the bend, it may be possible that they can still balance most of the vibration out. Mine was mostly noticeable between 70-80, and is almost gone now. At some point I'll probably have the wheen straightened, but the vibration is so subtle now that it's probably not worth it.

Okay guys, Help!

I have a 98 M3/4 that has about 55,000 miles on it. The tires I have are Yoko AVS Sports, and they've been on for about 3,000 miles. From 80 MPH and up, there is this vibration that gets increasingly worse. My wheels are not bent, I've never hit a curb. I just had them balanced 3 days ago, and they said the front two were out of balance. The vibration is still there.

My question is, how often to you rebalance?
How often do you check air pressure?
What pressure do you guys run in your tires?
And most importantly, what the hell could this be?

Kinda strange, the only thing I could think would be an alignment, and that doesn't sound very fun.
Anyone know the price of an alignment at a dealership?

Thanks so much for your help.
