I have the M countour wheels. If i shine a flashlight into the gap of the wheel towards the brake pads i see the pad name. It right above the hub, between the clip. My rears say Jurid
and fronts say Textars.

If the pads are Textar, then that's the problem. THere is a tech bulletin detailing the switch to Jurid pads if a customer complains. My 97 has textar, but it's ok, because i just do some hard stops, and the squeeling goes away.

Great, thanks...Any idea on how I would know if this m3 came with the textar brakes? (or did all 97's come with them?)
