If these are Repco Axxis brake pads< I think also maybe called metalmaster, I am afraid you made a big mistake. I had them on my old Jetta 16V a few years ago, and they really suck, no dust, but no performance either, after 20,000 miles hardly a millimeter worn off and I broke them in and didn't glaze them either, My M3, I admit does make alot of brake dust, but the brakes work really well, I understand there ARE some brake pads that make less dust and also perform, but Axxis, unless it is a new compound, the old one is a very old compound are not the ones. My 2 cents, as they say. Oh, besides not stopping the axxis brakes I had did squeak.
I just had them put on front and rear, and the rears squeak like mad. Is this normal and will it go away? I knew the tradeoff off no dust was squeak, but this is a lot more than I expected.
TIA
Rob
