As I understand it, assuming a Euro Evo (1996-99), they differ generally in the following ways:

1. Double VANOS v. single VANOS (intake only)

2. Same bore but Euro has slightly bigger stroke, 91mm v. 89.6mm, for 49cc more displacement (3201 cc v. 3152 cc). I also believe the Euro has some trick bottom end parts ours doesn't.

3. Higher compression (11.3 v. 10.5)

4. Individual throttle bodies and more exotic cylinder head.

5. Siemens/BMW MSS50 electronic management system (very advanced).

6. Oh yes, 80 more ponies and a 6-speed though, in real life, the performance difference isn't what you'd think. Gears in the Euro 6-speed almost identical to our 5-speed except for the .83 overdrive 6th. Same 3.23 rear axle.
