first of all they totally blew the beginning.
they should have started the movie with some great in-car shots, and given the audience a little taste of what it's like to drive one of those beasts. then they could start the people story part.

second, it was soooo hoakey. there was way too little good car driving scenes, and it seemed they tried to please the common public rather than make a good racing movie.

they also sort of added some Formula 1 stuff in to make it seem more like a global sport than CART racing is.

also really lame with the authenticity of some things, like the shifting on ovals everytime they were trying to pass, starting the cars at the "prototype party" from the cockpit, just little things that can't be done.

one racer stopping and going the wrong direction to go save another guy. really cheezy!

i'm glad Sly didn't get to make it about F1 (as i am a big fan) because I would have gone nuts with all the bullshit they put in the film!

ok i'm done now. sorry for the rant, but i'm a TV director, and some things really get to me!
