..try doing a compression test and see if everything is within specs... Also try doing a leakdown test as well. Something could have gone wrong with the rebuild if the person that did it didn't know what they were doing, or if the rings or anything didn't get seated properly.

Also, what condition are your ignition and fuel systems in? Everything running right? No codes on the computer?
