I never miss third shifting from fourth or fifth. You must have been pretty stoked, up against the Rio and all. The only manifestation of the M3's "mis-shift curse" I've seen is hitting fifth when trying for third, which is ez to do on full tilt using the recommended 2-3 "palm method."

Suppose I should be thankful...better that than hitting first when trying for third.
