Does an hour suffice? Also, once reset, does the car have to be driven a particular way (fast or slow) to properly "relearn" anything? Thanks.

On pre 1995 model years, disconnecting the battery will clear faults and maybe adaptations as well.

On post '96 model years, forget it! You need a BMW diagnostic computer to do that. I am unsure if OBD2 software may have that feature.
