don't listen to all this stuff about "17's perform better than 18's do". As a VERY general rule, this may be true, but if you run the correct 18" set-up. Pierre, AKA "Useless Message Poster", races and wins on 245/35/18's. He was recently in the Roundel for his most recent victory. Led the pack from start to finish. Go Useless!! The key is to go with an 18" rim that is lighter than the stock 17", and stick with 35 series tires. Also, the stuff about a noisier ride and higher top speed is just plain bunk. I run 245/35/18's and I can tell you from personal experience that it handles/performs better than stock. 245/35/18 tires are no taller than stock. A 235/35/18 is even a bit shorter than stock. So top speed is not increased.

Having 235/40/17 on 17" rims or 225/40/18 on 18" rims? Which one would you choose?
