IM thinking of buying a 97 m3 4 door auto, this is gonna be my first BMW overall what do you think of the E36 M3?

You'll love the car, your chick(s) will love the car, friends will most likely be jealous... I have driven my 97 2dr everywhere simply because I'm addicted to it. Can't drive anything else for now. You have to test drive it to feel the adequate power. I would not get a 4dr unless I have kids, but then, I'll take them around in an E-class or something. You made the right step to visit this site. I'm sure you'll hear more from the other fanatics.
