What the hell is this? How much is this going to cost me. I'm taking it in for a oil service tommarrow. I want to have a idea of what it is before the Stealer tries to rip me off. Thanks

95 M3 no mods 77k

Well I know I probably shouldn't be posting here anymore but I had a 95 M3 and this happened to mine also. The problem is I am not possitive to what it is, I have a good idea though. I crashed and they changed my belts and the belt tensioner*. The tensioner is what they had diagnosed before the accident, and after both of the previous were changed the ticking stopped. Get a long screw driver and use it against you ear like a doctor would use a stethoscope and put it on the right front of the engine area you should here the ticking through the screwdriver. (Obviously put the plastic part on your ear and the metal on the motor)
Email me for more info.
