Ok guys I really need your help.. My 95 M3 (5spd) has become weak - to the point where I cant even chirp the tires.. Its getting to the point where its not nearly as fun to drive. In the last 30k miles, I have changed:

all spark plugs
fuel filter
fuel pump
o2 sensor
throttle position sensor
exhaust (uuc exhaust now)
water pump
oil and filter (mobil 1 5w30 synthetic every 3k miles)
clean the air filter every 8-10k miles

mods are: dinan chip, intake, and uuc exhaust.

i have 91k miles on the car now.. it was great when i got it at 52k miles.. now, after i get up above 50-60mph or so, i have great power.. it seems like just my low-end crapped out.. my clutch rarely slips, but it feels strange.. i used ot be able to chirp my tires or drift around a corner from a stop very easily - and now i can't.. would a bad clutch explain this loss of power? i am still running on the stock clutch at 91k miles, and i drive the car fairly hard every day..

also, i hear that famous "tapping" sound from the engine.. it used to just happen when i was low on oil - but now it happens all of the time.. i heard that the lifters may need to be replaced? what exactly does this involve?

ANY ideas would be VERY much appreciated.. this problem is making me want to sell my M3 =(

95 M3

Try this, go from 1st to 5th if the car can't pull up to speed your clutch may be slipping.
