Some are cool, but most SUCK when it comes to service. You're almost better-off going to Pep Boys. I've had BMW techs (about 4 months ago) tell me synthetic oil is bad for my car and refuse to fill it with it. I had to diagnose a front-end rattle by myself. BMW tech said they could find nothing. I banged on the damn sway bar with my fist and the thing sounded like a pocket full of pennies. The links were shot to hell. Most of these Stealers jus plain suck in terms of service. The employees are just "showing-up" for their 9 to 5 to collect a check. They lack the passion that these cars require. Lets not even talk about prices - $800 for an INSPECTION 2. My dumper still hurts from that one. Best bet is to build a good relationship with a relaible inependent shop.

They import these great cars. I can get any part I want in a matter of hours. They offer great service (if you want to pay out the wazzu). Fixing cars is NOT an exact science, there is a lot of trial and error. I think we should lay off the dealer. They're just trying to run a business, while selling and maintaining imperfect machines.
