You need to have the universal attachment for the front two screws...makes it much easier.

You can push on the shield to make more room for the filter.

Also, angle the filter downward to clear the cover.

I'm having a very hard time installing the two screw by the radiator, any pointer? ...with the heat shield in the way, it's making it hard to align the holes! the heatsheild provided a good one?

also, when installing the cover, it's ok for it to be touching the top part of the cone filter?
