The previous owner of my car could have supplied a key, but he truly seemed on the up and up (2 little kids and a house in a respectable suburb). But, who knows, anything is possible?!? I still don't know how my car was stolen, but my e-brake was up, my wheels were turned to the curb and I was parallel parked on a city street. I didn't have the club. I have to assume that the car was hotwired since I was parallel parked. The car showed up one month later on a North Philadelphia side street chopped in half (no shit). But, it was all worth it in the end. I paid $15k plus tax for a 1995 with 98k and the insurance company paid out the cars value - $22,500. I made over $6k (minus deductible) for owning a car for only one day:)

Hey all,

Remember a while back when some guy had his car stolen 1 day after buying it (now, we can ALL bet that the previous owner supplied a key to some chop-shop dude and voil'a) and now this 95 dakar gets boosted in Philly.....wait a minute, our cars have a "smart" key and the fuel system is shut off in the event of a break-in/hotwire, even my 6 year old 95 is suppodely disabled when the key isn't, how'd this 95 get boosted?? Anybody.....Bueller, Bueller?
