Just got a quote from my dealer on an extended warranty for my 98 M3/2 w/16K miles.

The deal is for a "Platinum Plan" for 4 years/60K miles. The quote was $2635. How does this sound? I've never bought one of these and really don't know how to value it.

So what kind of coverage are you guys getting on your extended warranties? And have you ever had any problems making claims? Seems like $2k is well spent considering even small things on an M3 will be expensive to fix.
