no problem. that is what this board is for. to learn from others and their experiences. i thought that was all i had to do was disconnect it too. i used the code when i parked in a unfamiliar area and used the code as well as the alarm and double lock feature. well, i forgot the code that i put in when i came back. i had to call that number (1-800-...) in the back of the trunk and ask how to get around it. after they asked alot of questions to confirm that i was the owner. they then told me step by step to get my car started. let me tell you, you you have to wait about 15 minutes, maybe more with the key in the ignition to reset the code so the car would start. that was something i would never thought of and it gave me a whole lot of confidence in the obc code.
