I'm in the market for a '97. I just wanted to know if this is/has been a concern for M3 owners. Just had the wife's replaced at 80k. Remembered my '87 Porsche 944S timing belt gave out at 37k, and bent the valves to crap. Yep, ouch. 150k, huh? I hope so. Thanks again.

What year M3 do you have?? Dealer said that it was a commone problem on the 95's, I had it replaced along with the tensioner, wasn't to much $$$
