Ok, here's the deal. My cosmos 95 got keyed a month ago, so into the paint shop it's gone for a full repaint (they keyed the hell outta it). Anyway, right before it got keyed, I took it to a BMW shop because I was having an issue at startup. Every time I start up the car, and it's cold, the idle bounces from 500-1500 rpm. The guy at the shop said it was a headgasket that was blown a long time ago, before I bought the car. After 5 min of warming up in the morning, everything is fine though, not a problem at all. Does it sound like the headgasket is blown? My compression was over 200 across all 6, and it was G-teched at about 197 to the wheels, so I need advice. If it is determined that it's the headgasket by the shop doing the paint work (they're sending it to another shop to determine that) what else should I get done to it while it's under the knife? Please let me know everything you may know about this. Thanks.
