Ken,

Sorry to hear about your predicament. I have received 4 speeding tickets over the course of my life (none in my M3 yet...WHEW!) and ALL of them came from a cop pacing me. 2 came at night, and 2 were "undercover" (unmarked cars). It SUCKS! I am so paraniod on the road, especially at night. It seems like I spend more time trying to identify headlights in my rear view, than looking forward. Anybody else ever feel this way?

I don't know what to tell you, other than to talk to an attorney. If you were not weaving or exibiting any other erratic behavior, then I don't know why the cop would follow you for 10 miles. Why didn't he pull you over at 80 mph? why wait until you were doing 105? I think an attorney might be able to help you in this situation.

Other than that, I hate the attitude that speed kills. Speed has never killed anybody!!! Sudden stops and losing control have killed LOTS of people. Like most of the other people on this board, I pick my spots when I speed. I speed on the highway, but not in residential areas or in areas where there are driveways, stop signs, or stop lights. All right, enough rambling on for me. I feel sorry for you and your situation. I hope it turns out good for you. Keep us posted.

B
