Sorry, let me clarify what I said.... what I meant to say is 35-45k is expensive for a CAR... which is not an investment... some people think getting a bigger house, putting the money in the market or for future is more important then spending it on an M3. Which is exactly why I'm buying a '95. For ~20k, I will have mucho fun on that little baby, and dont have to spend ~40 for a new one.... (and with the E46... more like 45-65 for a new one).

I would rather pay off my house, save the money for something else or a vacation or something. A '95 is no worse than a '99 as most M3s are meticulously kept.

Also, the ONLY reason I'm spending so much money on a car, is because I just crashed my 325is and once you own a BMW, it's hard to get anything else. I have a certain attachment to my car, as ANY M3 owner, I'm sure... and the M3 is just to heal the wounds from losing my baby.
