Hello.... just thought I'd run this by you guys... for the past 2 or so weeks, I have been trying to get as much money as I can for my 325is which was recently totalled. It was a '92 with 145k, but looked and ran like new. The insurance company offered me 10k + 6% sales tax. I told them that I had recently painted my rocker panels, rear bumper and new m3 nose (with paint) totalled about $1200 (for which I have reciepts-1 month old paintjob). So I assume they will add that to the final value, and make it about 11,800. Here's another catch though... I had replaced my full interior (minus the front two seats) with mint '99 M3 interior. I had gone to the BMW dealership an invoice of $3,800... but since I bought from a person, I dont have a reciept to show, and this was done over internet.. so I dont rememmber the guys name. I want to get about another $1k for the interior... or get about 12k + tax for my car. How would I accomplish this? Or how can I argue with an insurance company on my cars value? If anyone has any ideas, please let me know... Thanks.
