I should have mentioned that I've euro-delivered 2 BMW's recently, so I'm familiar with (and don't care about) the gas prices. $5/gal is worth it if I can go like a bat outta hell without looking at the tail end of some commuter's Expedition! I know that nice cars need to be garaged in Poland/Czech/etc., and I'm more than willing to pa for that, too. I just wnat to have the benefits of Euro delivering a "real" car without the headache of trying to re-sell it in the U.S. during a recession.
not correct, can't go into former Eastern European countries and you do not need stickers, except for Switzerland and maybe Austria. You might encounter tollways though. Take the train, gas is really expensive and car thefts in those countries are very high, as well as parts. If you go get a FIAT or FORD, so you attract less crooks. If you rent in Germany, use SIXT - they have fancy cars (boxter, SLK, etc as well as 5 series, 3 series) but book in advance - those car are tough to get :-) Have fun!!!! go to
