42k is kinda high. I just got a 1999 M3 convertible, silver with every option in the book, 25k miles for $39,995. The prices in the Bay Area are pretty high, and I would say a "fair" price for your stock car is about $35k. With your mods, I would say about $37k. But in all fairness, you have some great mods...you just have to find a buyer who will appreciate them. Just my 0.02.
