I was originally looking for an M3/4 for my wife. The srfd option was pretty important to us. You may want to evaluate your needs for this option. It will narrow down your search significantly, though.

As for the price you are suggesting, I think you can do better. That same car can be had in Seattle for $30K. I turned down 5, myself before buying my M3/2. Obviously not the same, but I got my 99 M3/2 with 5000 Miles on it for the same price you are quoting for a 98 M3/4 w/30K miles.
