check engine light on in M3 (archive)

I was coming back home from the beach today when all of a sudden the check engine light came on. All I have is ECIS intake and tri-flo exhaust on my M3. I have had it on for awhile now with no problems. The intake is a little dirty could that make the check engine light go on? I just had second inspection on car about two weeks ago. Car drives fine doesn't feel like anything is wrong. It a 99 M3 with about 25000 miles. Will take in to dealer tomorrow but just wondering if you guys had any idea.
