Official BMW specs show that the sedan has about 1.2" more headroom than the 2 door. If you plan to wear a helmet for driving schools and you are over 6' tall, you probably won't fit in a coupe with the helmet unless you lay the seatback waaaay back. I found a rare car - a '98 M3 sedan with 5 speed and without sunroof. Just what a 6'2" guy wearing a helmet wants. Personally I like the styling of the sedan better, but that's just personal preference. Either one is a great car.
