I have it too -- between 1,800 and 2,300 rpm. Sounds like a couple peices of gravel shaking in a tin can and is most noticeable during deacceleration. Probably VANOS, and most dealers say it is "normal." However, in June 28 posting (Re: Anyone have this exhaust sound problem?) Lance identified sound as coming from plastic shield over camshaft .
